Bernie Kornblum was a male engineer assigned to the USS Enterprise-D in the mid-2360s. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant, junior grade in 2366. (SCE eBook: Many Splendors) Shortly thereafter, he was killed when Ansata terrorists boarded the Enterprise. (TNG episode: "The High Ground")
