Bertrand Carlisle was a male Human scientist in the 20th century. He was born January 15, 1899, and attended Oxford University, earning doctorates in particle physics, quantum mechanics, and thermonuclear integration in 1918. In 1964, he came to the United States of America to participate in Project Hercules, an effort to develop enhanced fusion technology. As of 1968, he held the chair of Oxford's advanced speculative physics department. (TOS - Star Trek: Assignment: Earth comic: "Brighter Than a Thousand Suns")
- It seems remarkable that Carlisle earned three doctorates by age nineteen, particularly in fields that barely existed in the early 20th century. It is likely Beta Five's brief biographical synopsis lacks some specificity in regard to dates.
