Bestram was a Bajoran man. A member of the Bajoran Resistance, Bestram was in the Shakaar resistance cell.
In 2360, Bestram convinced Kira Nerys to leave the resistance cell's hideout to search for Cardassian patrols. When a patrol found them, Bestram and Kira split up, with Cardassian soldiers in pursuit. Kira made it back to the hideout but Bestram was not there, leading to her fearing the worst.
