Blanco was a white Persian cat owned by Sonya Gomez. The pet was promised to six-year-old Sonya by her father, provided she help convert the family home's attic to an art studio for her mother. Sonya complied, and Blanco was given to her as a seventh birthday present.
Sonya Gomez kept Blanco until she went away to Starfleet Academy in 2361, at which time Blanco was given to her sister, Belinda. Blanco stayed with Belinda for the rest of its life, dying at age 23 circa 2373. (SCE eBook: Breakdowns)
