Bloomington is an city located in Indiana, which is part of the United States of America. The community is located southwest of the capital of Indianapolis.

Kathryn Janeway was born in the city of Bloomington.

Over 200 years before Janeway's birth, her ancestor Henry Janeway would often go to Bloomington for supplies, because merchants in Portage Creek had been boycotting him due to his resistance against the Millennium Gate. (VOY:"11:59")
