A bodyguard is a security position held by a operative who protects another person (or persons) from danger or threat.

Bodyguards were commonly used by individuals in power in the Mirror Universe. (ENT novel: Age of the Empress) High ranking members of the Klingon Empire would also employ bodyguards.
