In 2372, Admiral James Leyton drank a bottle of tonic water and offered it to Captain Benjamin Sisko, who refused. Leyton commented it "calms the nerves". (DS9 episode: "Paradise Lost")

Bolian tonic water was served in Quark's on Deep Space 9. In 2374, Mexh Brixhta ordered a glass of tonic water, which Quark noticed calmed him. (DS9 novel: Hollow Men)
