Bonneville Flats

The Bonneville Flats are a region of space commonly used by Starfleet in order to test new propulsion systems. The region was named for the Bonneville Salt Flats on Earth, where wheeled vehicles were once tested that were able to travel at 300 km/hr. (TLE novel: Serpents Among the Ruins)
