Boraal II was the homeworld of the medieval Boraalan species. Its atmosphere suddenly began a catastrophic dissipation in 2370. The USS Enterprise-D answered the distress signal sent by Doctor Nikolai Rozhenko, Lieutenant Worf's foster brother, who fell in love with a native woman while disguised as a cultural observer and broke the Prime Directive to save her village (TNG episode: "Homeward")
