The Borg Scout Vessel was a type of starship used by the Borg Collective in the 24th century. These ships were designed for surveying inhabited worlds and determining the potential usefulness of a species to the Collective. A secondary function of the scouts was for establishing transwarp connections. As the scouts are not warp capable, they rely on the larger Borg cubes for assistance.
