Borilak Jalika was a Bajoran woman and daughter of the hill fighter, Borilak Selinn.

Prior to becoming a hill fighter like her father, she studied at the Temple to become a healer. When she met Dr. Julian Bashir in 2370, she helped him treat Belem using the Federation medicine coupled with the herb lore she had learned. She eventually developed feelings for Bashir, which she revealed to him shortly before he was beamed away. After Talis Cedara had been presented as the Nekor, Jalika and Bashir met in the Temple garden. She had decided to continue her studies as a healer, and would have no room for Bashir in her life. The two then parted ways. (DS9 novel: Warchild)
