Bremerton was a male Starfleet security officer who served on the USS Defiant during the final battle of the Dominion War. He held the rank of Ensign.

Following the battle, Bremerton was one of six security officers that Odo selected to transport down to Dominion Headquarters and secure the facility in a case of a Jem'Hadar assault. When Odo was about to transport to convince the Female Changeling to surrender, Bremerton wanted to send three security guards down prior to him and reconnoitre the situation. Odo saw that Bremerton was concerned for his safety, but reminded him that he had served as security chief of Deep Space 9 for many years. Odo would later order Bremerton to first secure the entrances of the Dominion facility and inform him when his team had done so. (DS9 novelization: What You Leave Behind)
