Mirror universeEdit

In 2293 in the Mirror universe, a Brigand class starship ambushed the ISS Excelsior which was commanded by Hikaru Sulu who's crew had exchanged places with the vessels Mirror universe counterparts. The Orion ship attempetd to make use of the Excelsiors weakened position after its destruction of the M-5 computer but was instead destroyed by the Imperial Starfleet ship.

In a system on the Klingon border where one of their colonies was destroyed, a Brigand class ship accompanied a Buccaneer-class warship to ambush the Excelsior. However, after the destruction of one of the ships the other called of its attack. (TOS video game: Shattered Universe)
