After General Gyero Minza was captured on Tezwa and detained on the USS Enterprise-E, his expertise was called upon to make a careful reading of the regulations involving POWs, including the Federation Civil and Criminal Code, the complete text of the Starfleet Official Regulations, and the Uniform Code of Starfleet Justice. Although the law was strict in other areas, Commander North discovered that although regulations required a prisoner be afforded a natural amount of sleep time, that period need not be consecutive; North spent two hours carefully detailing his findings and their precedents to the captured Tezwan general while Counselor Deanna Troi listened on in mute calm detachment.
