DaiMon Brund was a larger than usual Ferengi who commanded the Tampanium. In 2368, he was transporting a very large group of Sli to a new colony on Sketti Iota III. He was forced to divert to Lessenar by the Sli because they sensed the death of one of Mon Hartog's Sli. Brund asked Captain Picard to kill Hartog's Sli so that he could continue with his mission.
