Lieutenant Bryan Regnis was a male Starfleet security officer serving in the 24th century.

Regnis was assigned to AR-558 as a replacement following the Siege of AR-558. Regnis was still on AR-558 when the Dominion retook the Chin'toka system towards the end of the Dominion War. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Paths of Disharmony)

By 2381, he was assigned to the USS Enterprise-E as a security officer and sharpshooter. During the Borg Invasion of 2381, the USS Aventine and the Enterprise traveled through a subspace tunnel from the Azure Nebula, hoping to find the staging area of the Borg, but ended up near the Carina Arm near the border of the Delta and Gamma Quadrants. A fleet of Hirogen vessels attacked and boarded the two vessels, and Regnis was part of Randolph Giudice's security team to defend the vessel, all armed with TR-116 rifles. Regnis's rifle was equipped with a microtransporter and an exographic scanner, both of which were rendered useless by the Hirogen energy dampening devices. After the devices darkened the corridors, one of the hunters dropped a monofilament wire through a ventilation shaft and attempted to choke the security officer. The other security officers were able to fire into the ceiling, which caused Regnis to drop to the deck, where he remained unconscious for the rest of the engagement. (ST - Destiny novel: Mere Mortals)

Regnis and fellow Enterprise security officers Randolph Giudice, Kirsten Cruzen, Peter Davila, T'Sona, and Jarata Beyn were amongst the forces temporarily transferred to the Aventine when the vessel plotted to attack and capture a Borg scout, hoping to secure its vinculum. T'Sona and Jarata implanted self-sealing anchor bolts so that the other four could grapple across the gap to the central core. Despite his earlier wounds suffered at the hands of the Hirogen, he was the only one who did not outwardly indicate any pain as they made their way across the chasm. When they landed on the other side, they required Cruzen to detonate an explosive to gain entrance; not only did it open their path, but it gained the attention of the Borg drones protecting the inner core, and the four fired rounds from their TR-116. Regnis noticed they were quickly running out of ammunition, pointing out when they were down to their last two clips; when they ran out of bullets with six drones remaining, Regnis remarked it was "too bad the Borg don't give mulligans." Giudice denied Kirsten's request to use grenades as it might damage the vinculum, instead painting the advancing attackers with green splatters of gel flare, allowing friendly sharpshooters to finish the assault. (ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls)
