Harmon Buck Gin Bokai, often simply referred to as "Buck" Bokai, was a Human baseball player in the 21st century, and was considered by many to be one of the greatest players of the sport. (DS9 episode: "If Wishes Were Horses")

CareerEdit

Bokai began his career in Major League Baseball as a shortstop for the London Kings in 2015. (DS9 episode: "Past Tense, Part II")

In 2026, Bokai broke the record for the most consecutive hits in any one season, a record which had previously been set by Joe DiMaggio in 1941. (TNG episode: "The Big Goodbye", DS9 episode: "If Wishes Were Horses")

When the last World Series was played on Earth between the Kings and the New York Yankees, Bokai hit the game-winning home run in the eleventh inning of the seventh game. (TNG novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace)

Zefram Cochrane knew of Bokai when he was younger. (ST novel: Federation)

Bokai eventually passed away in the early 22nd century. (DS9 episode: "If Wishes Were Horses")

In 2270, after he was transported uptime from 2020, Colonel Shaun Christopher wanted to know if Bokai had beaten DiMaggio's record but was unable to receive an answer. (TOS novel: The Rings of Time)

In the late 24th century, Benjamin Sisko and his son Jake included a hologram of Bokai as part of their baseball holoprogram. After receiving some advice from his son about batting, Sisko joked that maybe he should undergo some batting practice with Bokai. (DS9 comic: "For the Glory of the Empire")
