Buddhism is a belief system on Earth, considered by many to be a religion, based on the teachings of Gautama Buddha in the 4th century BC. Buddhism originated in India and was practiced primarily in Asia.

Among the teachings of the Buddha were the Four Noble Truths, which related to the nature of suffering.
