The CDS Vetar (CUW-8254) was a Cardassian Union starship, a Galor-class warship in Cardassian Central Command service in the 24th century.
Service history and disposition[]
By the 2370s decade, the Vetar was under the command of Gul Aman Evek.
In 2370, the Vetar was ordered to perform a survey of Dorvan V ahead of the planet's entry into Cardassian space following the signing of the Federation-Cardassian Treaty of 2370. (TNG episode: "Journey's End")
Shortly after, the Vetar was attacked by Maquis raiders in the Demilitarized Zone, and had to be rescued by the USS Enterprise-D. (TNG episode: "Preemptive Strike")
In 2371, the Vetar pursued the Maquis raider, Val Jean, into the Badlands following an attack on a base in the Terikof Belt. The Vetar was forced to halt the pursuit after suffering severe damage after hitting a plasma column. (VOY episode: "Caretaker")
