The CRM 114

The CRM-114 was a Breen manufactured directed energy weapon type of firearm, which appeared to be heavier than standard field issue phasers and disruptors used by most species starship crewmen and soldiers.

In the year 2373, Quark had a customer of Hagath and Gaila use a CRM 114 in a demonstration of the weapon in a holosuite aboard Deep Space 9. Quark pointed out that the CRM 114 could be used against moving vessels or surface emplacements and that it could cut through six to fifteen centimeters of reactive armor and penetrate shields up to 4.6 gigajoules. Quark's customer, who was impressed by how light the CRM 114 was, requested two thousand of them. (DS9 episode: "Business as Usual")
