Cal Hudson

Memory Beta, the wiki for licensed Star Trek content.

Cal Hudson with the Maquis in 2370.

Cal Hudson was a human male in Starfleet in the mid-24th century.

Hudson was a close friend of Benjamin Sisko while at Starfleet Academy, and both also served together on Pelios Station. They also competed against each other for the attentions of Sabbath Nile, though she was more drawn to Curzon Dax. (DS9 short story: "The Music Between the Notes") Hudson later married Gretchen Hudson, who died in the late 2360s. (DS9 episode: "The Maquis, Part I")

In 2370, Hudson was assigned as Starfleet's attaché to the Federation colonies in the Demilitarized Zone. However, he found the Federation government to be unresponsive to the concerns of the colonists. Disillusioned, Hudson betrayed Starfleet and joined with the Maquis. (DS9 episodes: "The Maquis, Part I" and "The Maquis, Part II", TNG eBook: Slings and Arrows: A Weary Life)

In 2371, Cal Hudson rescued Chakotay and the crew of the Geronimo after the ship was destroyed by Tharia ch'Ren. (novel: The Brave and the Bold).

In 2373, Hudson was killed by allied Cardassian and Dominion forces. (DS9 episode: "Blaze of Glory")
