Canchika was a class M planet located in the Canch star system in a region of space know as The Triangle at the edge of the Alpha and Beta Quadrant. It found itself between the Klingon and Romulan spheres of influences. (FASA RPG module: The Triangle)
Political situation

The planet was able to keep its independent status due to a trade agreement between the Klingons and Romulans. Both powers established embassies on the planets surface and both kept large military forces in the vicinity, usualy whitin five days travel.
The ruling government body was named the Florall, a form of parliment similar to Earth's British Parliment. They tried to appeal to the Federation for military assistance but the Federation as been less then favorable to any such requests. (FASA RPG module: The Triangle)
EconomyEdit
Canchika was considered a rich planet due in part to the highly south mineral Cinudy, a precious gem that was mined in underwater mines. Due to the rarity of the gem and the expensive costs of the mining procedures, the government willingly boosts its price. Other minerals were also mined and used as the worlds main export. Duke Morann controlled 31 percent of all Cinudy mines making him the wealthiest man on the planet. (FASA RPG module: The Triangle)
