The Candlestick Auditorium is the historic site of the signing of the Articles of the Federation on 12 August 2161 in San Francisco on Earth. At the time, the auditorium had been newly renovated. (ENT novel: Last Full Measure)

The auditorium was originally a sports stadium that was known as Candlestick Park. Built in 1960 the stadium served as the home of the San Francisco Giants baseball team until 2000, as well as the San Francisco Forty-Niners football team. The stadium was also noted as the site of the Beatles final full concert in 1966. The stadium was eventually converted into the auditorium that featured prominently in early Federation history.
