Cape Canaveral is a strip of land located in the state of Florida, United States of America on Earth. In the 20th and 21st centuries, many spacecraft were launched from the Kennedy Space Center.

Elias Vaughn visited Cape Canaveral when he was a boy. Vaughn viewed Launch Complex 39 and a memorial to the crew of the Challenger who died aboard the space shuttle when it exploded in 1986. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: Twilight)

By the late 23rd century, a museum had been established at the location of the Space Center. In 2293, a public memorial service for James T. Kirk were held around the famed Pad B of Launch Complex 39 of the center. (TOS - Crucible novel: The Fire and the Rose)
