Capril was Bajoran Vedek and keeper of the Bajoran shrine on Deep Space 9. He worked along side Vedek Po and a number of ranjens.

When Kira Nerys was attained by the Vedek Assembly, Vedek Capril followed their instructions and shunned Kira. (DS9 novel: Avatar)

When Kira needed blood after being stabbed in the heart by Taran'atar in early 2377, Vedek Capril was the first in line to donate, encouraging others to do so as well. He admitted that he was ashamed of what he did to Kira, but that he would do so again if ordered to. (DS9 novel: Warpath)
