Cardassian survey vessel are types of starships the Cardassian Union for exploration and surveying missions. The Akril class was designated as such.

In 2328, the Cardassian survey vessel Sontok discovered Raknal V. Later, the Central Command sent a fleet of survey vessels to the planet, accompanied by warships of the Third Order. (TLE novel: The Art of the Impossible)

Mullibok claimed that, around the same time in the late 2320s, he escaped Bajor by stowing aboard a survey vessel. The ship was travelling throughout the Bajoran system looking for possible mining sites. Mullibok claimed he overpowered its six-man crew and beamed down to Jeraddo. (DS9 episode: "Progress")
