Carmona was a Starfleet lieutenant who served as first officer aboard the USS Enterprise-C in the early 2330s.

Carmona was a respected and trusted first officer in the eyes of Captain Rachel Garrett and the crew. He was also a keen artist, but was too shy to show any of his work to his fellow crewmates.

Carmona was killed during an encounter with unknown aliens in 2332. (ST short story: "Hour of Fire")
