The Carrington Award was a prestigious honor in the field of medicine, awarded annually by the Federation Medical Council. It was awarded to one of five nominees, and was generally regarded as a lifetime achievement award. (DS9 episode: "Prophet Motive")

Doctor Leonard McCoy was awarded the Carrington Award at some point between 2299 and 2364. (TOS novel: Crucible: Provenance of Shadows)

Dr. Ross Mubi won the Carrington Award for his work in nerve regeneration in 2339. (TNG eBook: Slings and Arrows: The Insolence of Office)

In 2371, the nominees were Doctor April Wade, Healer Senva, Doctor Henri Roget, Chirurgeon Ghee P'Trell, and Doctor Julian Bashir, who was the youngest person ever to be nominated for the award. Roget was the winner that year. (DS9 episode: "Prophet Motive")
