Giacomo Casanova (2 April 1725 – 4 June 1798) was a human who lived on Earth in the 17th century. The Italian was a libertine and rebel, which endeared him to women, and developed a reputation for loving and leaving countless women.
In the 23rd century, Dr. Leonard McCoy often refers to his friend, James T. Kirk, as the "Casanova of the spaceways" for his similar reputation with women on various planets. (TOS novel: The Entropy Effect)
