The Cave of Winds was a location on the planet Romulus.

During the early days of the Romulan ancestors arrival on their new home world, they used to seek refuge within the Cave of the Winds. This location was called up during funeral rites for the recently deceased as it was said that similar to their ancestors, the Romulans used the power of the wind to ferry their dead to the World to come.

In 2377, Commander Kaylena spoke the funeral rites for a number of soldiers for the Romulan Star Empire that died during the Genesis Wave crisis. (TNG novel: The Genesis Wave, Book 3)
