Beta Ophiuchi (also known as Cebalrai) is a star (spectral class K2III) located about 25 parsecs (82 light years) from Earth, where it is visible in the constellation of Ophiuchus. The Beta Ophiuchi star system is the home of the Beta Ophiuchi VI as well as the Colony world of Errigal. (TNG novel: Intellivore)
- "Intellivore" mentioned Beta Ophiuchi's system, but since it is a "real" star system, modern scientists know a few things about its makeup that weren't in Star Trek.
