Amongst the data kept at the archives were tissue samples of many Bajorans which could be accessed by security services for the purposes of identification. Ro Laren used this service in April 2376 to identify Gamon Vell, at the time the Archives typically had backlog which meant enquiries normally took at least a day to get processed. In September of the same year the Archives were one of several sites where Parasite aliens were able to take control of. (DS9 novel: Unity)
