History and specifics[]

The current Human calendar traditionally measures centuries in the common era, generally recognized to begin with the birth of the Human religious leader Jesus Christ. Vulcans made official first contact with Humans in the 21st century, the United Federation of Planets was formed in the 22nd century and the Starfleet starships USS Enterprise (NCC-1701), USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) and USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-F) were launched in the 23rd century, 24th century and 25th century respectively.
