Charles Rasmussen was an Admiral in the Federation Starfleet during the 23rd century. He was an instructor at Starfleet Academy.

He commanded the Constitution class ship NX-0002, which would later come to be known as the USS Enterprise, during its shakedown cruise. During this mission, he sacrificed his life in place of Number One's, smashing a shuttlecraft into a Klingon warship, to save the ship and its crew. (TOS comic: "Shakedown")
