Chateau Briar was a style of French wine.

In 2267, Jean-Luc Picard sampled some Chateau Briar that was in the possession of Commodore Travers. Picard was able to determine that it was a 2191 vintage and tasted rather bland because one-fourth of the crop had been damaged by frost. (TNG novel: Requiem)
