Cheryl Flodin was a female Human who served in Starfleet in the 23rd century.

HistoryEdit

As of the late 2270s, she held the rank of Ensign, and was an engineer and computer specialist serving on the USS Gagarin.

In late 2278 or early 2279, Flodin's mother died, and her father became seriously ill. Unfortunately, Flodin had to leave her father and rejoin the Gagarin. Then in 2279, the ship was attacked by Klingons, and Flodin was among the twenty-two crew members taken prisoner. She spent the following eight years in a prison camp on the planet Pao'la, sharing a cell with fellow crewmate Ra Mhvlovi, and forced to work in that world's dilithium mines. During her years of captivity, she often worried how her father had fared following news of her disappearance.

Flodin was rescued from Pao'la in 2287, in a joint operation by Captains Koloth and James T. Kirk. (TOS novel: In the Name of Honor)
