Chiarello

Commander Chiarello was a Starfleet officer who lectured at Starfleet Academy in the 2250s. He taught the Federation History class in 2251. Cadet Gary Mitchell had Chiarello as his instructor, until an encounter with Cadet James T. Kirk, led Kirk to transfer Mitchell to his class. (TOS novel: My Brother's Keeper: Republic).
