A chicken sandwich is a type of sandwich food made using chicken meat.

Captain James T. Kirk once ordered a chicken sandwich and coffee from a food synthesizer. Kirk was quite dismayed, however, when he found that tribbles had infested the system. Mr. Spock found the process fascinating. (DS9 episode & novelization: Trials and Tribble-ations)
