Chief Executor of the Detapa Council

The Chief Executor of the Detapa Council was the Cardassian head of state and head of government after the 2371 Cardassian coup that installed the leaders of the Cardassian dissident movement into power over the Cardassian Union.

That year, Meya Rejal became Chief Executor, holding that post until her execution by Gul Skrain Dukat and the Dominion in the 2373 Cardassian coup that installed Dukat as Cardassia's next ruler. (DS9 novel: The Never-Ending Sacrifice.)

The novel does not make it clear if the position of Chief Executor had existed prior to the 2371 coup. In the TLE novel: The Art of the Impossible, the leader of the Detapa Council was the First Speaker.
