Chirurgeon was an Andorian title for a medical professional. Ghee P'Trell, a male Caitian, studied medicine on Andor and held the title chirurgeon. (DS9 episode: "Prophet Motive")

Chirurgeon is in fact an archaic term for a surgeon, derived from Greek.
