Chris Thayer was a Human privateer during the late-24th century.

In 2380, Thayer was the helmsman aboard the Celtic when it encountered the USS Norfolk and he was forced to evade the Starfleet ship. Later, he was still manning the helm when the Celtic discovered the USS Reston in the Korso Spanse and would accompany the team that boarded the Reston. While aboard the Starfleet vessel he would serve as the helmsman during the Celtic's aborted attempt at towing the Reston. Afterwards he was assimilated while trying to save Jenna Reed from Tristan Harlow, who had already been assimilated. (ST - Seven Deadly Sins novella: Revenant)
