The Coalsack Nebula (or simply the Coalsack) is a dark nebula in the space of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant, located at a distance of approximately 600 light-years away from Earth, where it is visible in the constellation of Crux, overlapping somewhat into the neighbor constellations Centaurus and Musca. The Coalsack is located in the space of the United Federation of Planets, in the Beta Quadrant. (Last Unicorn RPG module: The Way of D'era: The Romulan Star Empire)
