Concrete is a building material which made my mixing ingredients into a liquid mixture which then sets into a solid rock like substance.

In 2370, the aft section of the USS Puyallup was filled with synthetic concrete to provide a comfortable habitat for a Horta, which the starship was ferrying to Bajor. (DS9 novel: Devil in the Sky)
