Continent class

The Continent-class was a type of assault ship in service to the Federation Starfleet in the 23rd century.

The Continent-class was designed to accommodate a complement of 3,200 troops, 16 heavy tanks and 50 light support vehicles, and be able to beam them down to a combat area in 30 minutes.

The class entered service on reference stardate 2/1801 and over 60 vessels were constructed and launched from the Sol II shipyards at a rate of 12 vessels per year.

By 2223 SFC, 58 Continent-class ships remained on active duty, one vessel was assigned to Starfleet Training Command, and one vessel had been scrapped. (TOS roleplay module: Federation Ship Recognition Manual)
