The Cousteau was a Federation shuttlecraft in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century. Designated as a captain's yacht, she was assigned to the USS Enterprise in 2372.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard rarely used the Cousteau, yet in 2375, Picard and his senior staff used the yacht to transport supplies to the surface to help fight the forced relocation of the Ba'ku from the Ba'ku planet against the Son'a and Starfleet Command. Although the attempt was successful, the Cousteau was severely damaged by a Son'a attack on the Cousteau, and it was later scrapped. (TNG movie: Star Trek: Insurrection and novel: A Time to Be Born)
- The Cousteau was named after Jacques Cousteau
