Crateris was the site of a failed Romulan colony. The Remans were relocated to this planet from Romulus and Remus in 2386. This planet was considered to be a vast improvement over Remus. After a Romulan Senate session Colonel Xiomek invited Donatra to visit the Reman colony on Crateris in 2387. (ST website: The Path to 2409)
