Crenal was a Romulan male, the gardener of Senator Pelek, he assisted Elim Garak in the cultivation of Edosian Orchids in Peleks arboretum and the two later took the orchids to the home of Proconsul Merrok in the final stages of a successful assassination attempt. (DS9 novel: A Stitch in Time)
