Darona was a the sixth planet in the Betazed system. The home of a small Betazoid colony, Darona was known primarily as the location of a high security prison for the criminally insane. The capital city was Jarkana, which lay to the east of the Jarkana Mountains. (TNG novel: The Battle of Betazed)
