David McAllan was a male human in Starfleet in the 24th century. As of 2374, he held the rank of Lieutenant, and was assigned to the USS da Vinci as tactical officer. (SCE eBooks: The Belly of the Beast, War Stories, Book 2)

McAllan died in 2376, sacrificing his life to save that of Captain David Gold, during the da Vinci's mission to Galvan VI. He was posthumously awarded the Starfleet Citation for Conspicuous Gallantry for his actions. (SCE eBooks: Wildfire, Book 1, Wildfire, Book 2)

In an alternate universe accessed by an interdimensional Androssi device, McAllan survived into late 2376, and served as tactical officer aboard the USS Gettysburg under Captain David Gold. (SCE eBook: Lost Time)

David McAllan was named for Star Trek author David Alan Mack.
