Dawson Walking Bear was a Human Starfleet officer who served aboard the USS Enterprise in the late 2260s as a relief helmsman.
In 2270, Ensign Walking Bear's Comanche Native American ancestry and keen interest on the history of his ancestors, were instrumental in the Enterprise's encounter with Kukulkan. (TAS episode: "How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth?").
In 2293, Walking Bear attended James T. Kirk's memorial service in the grounds of Starfleet Academy, along with many other former Enterprise crewmembers. (TOS novel: Crucible: The Fire and the Rose).
